Michael Pollan - Food Rules – An Eaters Manual
New this year

I’m offering individual plant sales or A La Carte sales to those CSA shareholders who may be interested in some extra produce or for those of you who just want to grow a couple of varieties in your backyard. The
A La Carte plan will consist of 19 vegetable varieties. I’m also including 3 herb types and 3 sunflower varieties for cutting. Please see my printable vegetable list and pricing page tab on this page for details. The offerings are a small taste of what everyone gets as a shareholder of our CSA program. For instance I’ve ordered and plan to grow over 60 different types of vegetables and herbs this year with over 130 varieties for the CSA.

As a special item I’m offering a 2 foot by 2 foot by 6 inch tall loose leaf lettuce tray. I’m working on developing a reusable tray, with a refundable deposit on the tray, which can be returned after you remove several cuttings of fresh lettuce. This is how it works; I’ll provide a growing tray filled with a special loose-leaf lettuce mix. The lettuce will be grown in our greenhouse for about three weeks before pick up; and upon delivery all you need to do is keep the lettuce watered and safe from rabbits, as you know rabbits love lettuce. When the lettuce is a desired height just cut with a knife, wash and enjoy. You can get 4 to 6 servings from each 2’x2’ tray, more for smaller appetites. After about 3 cuttings, return the tray for a replacement tray, for an additional fee, or for your refundable deposit. At the end of the season I’ll need all the trays back at which time I’ll make all refunds on the tray deposits. See pricing page for details.

Also available for purchase will be an organic fish emulsion fertilizer and organic compost for all your transplants, again please see pricing page for details.
